He describes working for Laidlaw Leeds (later Farmer's Trading Co)as a despatch clerk 1921 - 1941. Tom mentions various Glen Eden identities, the CWI (Country Women's Institute)and the RSA (Returned Services Association). He describes running the pig farm and recalls selling pigs at a stock sale. Tom mentions an involvement in the black-market. He recalls Joe Perry helping him out during the Depression. |
