| Description Summary | Jayantilal (Jay) M. Khatri talks about growing up in Bombay, India, working as an engineer and learning tailoring from his father. He describes coming to NZ in 1987, working for clothing manufacturers Street Wise and Cambridge Clothing Company and later establishing a business in the garage at his home making tailored clothing for the Pacific Island community. Jay talks about moving his business, Island Style, to Henderson, the service he provides for his customers and acknowledges the support of his wife in his venture. At the conclusion Jay gives his views on Henderson. |
